Project Mango: Day 19

It’s a baby plant now!

Cute, isn’t it? Dad says that the leaves were very, very small this morning, but since we’re going through a sort of heat wave, it has grown much more. I’m a little concerned about the color of the leaves. When I did this a long time ago (long story short: it was doing okay in a pot until the squirrel decided to come by and dig it up to have as breakfast one weekend.) I think the leaves were greener, but I guess this coloration seems healthy too. Let’s keep our fingers crossed. If this grows more, I’m concerned about what to do with it during the winter if they only thrive in hot, hot weather.
