Pad Thai from Suzie’s
February 1st, 2007 | by Loretta |Mom decided it’s time to learn how to make pad thai. And this past month, she did in fact make pad thai. Once. ![]()
And I told her that’s not the way it looks when I get it. This meant having to go get takeout for dinner one of these nights, just to demonstrate to her senses what kind of pad thai I was talking about.
I hit up Suzie’s, where less than 7 dollars will get me a takeout container packed with pad thai, so much so that I transferred maybe 3 small bowls-worth from this one box. Then my parents finished the rest.

The pad thai has a certain chewy texture; the flavor is very mellow, nothing spicy. The portion size is generous and the quality, overall, is memorable. They also make their pad thai with pork, chicken, beef or vegetables. Oh, and shrimp.
Suzie’s is located on 163 Bleecker Street.
